Prof. Alexandru Rafila spoke about the beginning of the new school year on October 1, to the detriment of September 14.
“To be honest, it makes no difference. I have heard some kind of conversation about people returning from vacation, and in fact, people returning from vacation are more likely to get the disease. On the other hand, if we postpone the start of school , vacations are also lengthened. It does not necessarily mean that we will be more protected. I think that a very rigorous control of children and teachers, so that they do not go to school symptomatically, would be a good measure, so that parents bring their children with confidence in the first days of school, ”said Prof. Rafila, in Excavar 24.
“It just came to our knowledge then. Of course, you can make a difference, but it is not a strictly medical activity, but training, organization. In fact, between the two dates there are 16 days in which you can finish preparations that were probably delayed and probably not completed on time. Of course, it can be done, because you still have 16 days left, it is a matter of time. But, from a medical point of view, I can hardly say that there will be greater security October 1 compared to September 14 ”, concluded the Romanian representative at WHO.
