The Ministry of Public Finance published a draft Government Decision on the site.
The document refers to the approval of the List that includes the categories of secret state information prepared or held by the Ministry of Public Finance and the institutions subordinate to it.
The referenced list of state secrets is not made public.
The draft Government Decision also comes with a justification note presenting the current situation and the expected changes.
“The reorganizations that occurred in the central public administration also affect the evolution of the field of protection of classified information and, implicitly, determine the need to improve the existing regulations to streamline specific activities,” reads the foundation note.
The update of the secret list of secret information is related to the transfer to the Ministry of Finance from the Office of Gaming, the Office of Money Laundering, but also to the National Agency for Public Procurement, writes Capital.ro.

“The change in the organization of the National Agency for Public Procurement, the National Office for Games of Chance and the National Office for Prevention and Fight against Money Laundering has led the Ministry of Finance to take new steps to update and complete the list of categories of secret State information, on the levels of secrecy developed or maintained by the Ministry of Finance and its subordinate institutions and the related classification deadlines, as well as the preparation of this normative act, adapted to new trends in the matter, to national and international level, “the substantiation note of the draft government decision on the website of the Ministry of Finance.
Currently, it is specified in the draft government decision, “the categories of state secret information specific to the fields of activity of the Ministry of Public Finance and the institutions subordinate to it are established by Government Decision no. 613/2019, for the approval of the list of categories of secret information of the State and the periods of maintenance in the levels of secrecy elaborated or maintained by the Ministry of Public Finance, as well as of the subordinate units or under its authority, with the subsequent modifications and completions ”.
