The 2020 European Championship is organized in a different context. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, players were unable to make optimal preparation during the break between seasons. Many of the national teams present in Denmark did not play any training matches prior to the competition.

In this context, with poor physical training, the coach’s complaints are justified. Romania coach Bogdan Burcea also complained, accusing the players’ health is in danger. The “Tricolors” will have to play two games every 18 hours, with Hungary and the Netherlands, on Mondays and Tuesdays.
