The day before the local elections, the Prime Minister and President of the NLP, Ludovic Orban, was visiting Săbăreni, a stronghold of the NLP in Giurgiu.

Here he met with the liberal mayors of the area, such as the local one, Viorel Iosif, but also with Constantin Tănase (mayor of Joița) and Gabriel Lixandru (mayor of Cosoba). He then visited the new school gym in the commune, the construction of which began in 2018 and ended this summer.

Orban refused to make a statement in front of the press present at the scene, but maintained a dialogue with the people of the commune, gathered on the side of the road.

A man accusing a case of negligence brought documents to the prime minister and spoke with him for a few moments. He took the work presented to him and handed it over to a counselor, then gave a nod of encouragement and headed for the hall opening.

Libertatea sources assure that Orban also visited the town hall, where he was invited to a snack by the PNL mayor team and by the candidates for the Town Hall, with whom he was photographed.

PSD threatens Orban with DNA

The PSD, through the voice of President Ludovic Orban, announced that it will file a criminal complaint with DNA against Prime Minister Ludovic Orban, whom it accuses of continuing to campaign and after it ended.

“It is inadmissible for a prime minister of a European country to knowingly break the law and be in the election campaign after the election campaign ended yesterday at 24:00. He traveled to two counties, Dâmboviţa and Giurgiu, met with candidates and mayors, held electoral meetings. Ludovic Orban: I did not campaign, it is the night of the mind

In response to the PSD accusations, Prime Minister Ludovic Orban told Libertatea that he is a free man and did not campaign.

“I am a free man, a free citizen of this country and I can spend my Saturday wherever I want. I didn’t campaign, I didn’t ask anyone to vote for anyone, I just met with a few colleagues. This is the sign of despair in the PSD, which will lose the elections dramatically and is trying to find excuses for failure, ”said Ludovic Orban.

He continued: “I didn’t really campaign. I went to Lungulețu, where I bought vegetables and other things, I went to Săbăreni, to our mayor, but Antena 3 also followed me. Could you allow me to campaign with Antena 3 following in my footsteps?”
