The Minister of Health, Nelu Tătaru, declared, this Thursday, in Ploieşti, that at the country level there are “several” cases of reinfection by the new coronavirus, which are currently being studied by specialists.

“Reinfection is being discussed at the level of scientific groups in the context of possible new strains that have appeared. (…) There are some cases that have been declared (in Romania not.), But for the moment we are studying them,” he said. Tătaru.

At the same time, the Minister reiterated that Romania is now in the second phase of the first pandemic wave, on a plateau that hopes to remain in the conditions in which September will be a busy and difficult month, due to the start of the school year. of the elections, but also of the return of the Romanians from the holidays.

Tătaru paid a visit to Prahova County, going to the County Ambulance Service and the County Emergency Hospital, since lately doctors from the Emergency Reception Unit (UPU) have repeatedly called attention to the fact that that the unit is overcrowded, the staff is insufficient and so is the equipment used.
