Brutal murder in Germany, where the body of a 35-year-old Romanian woman, a doctor at a hospital in Fulda, Hesse, was discovered in the backyard of her home.
Elena K. was found dead, stabbed in the neck, Monday morning around 8:00. She was reportedly killed when she returned home from the hospital, according to Bild.
Colleagues and neighbors are shocked by the sad news. Elena was highly regarded in the hospital where she worked and neighbors know that she was also a devoted mother to her 2-year-old son.
Elena specialized in general surgery and worked at Fulda hospital for 10 years: “It’s terrible. We are all shocked and we can’t believe what happened. Elena was very careful with the patients.”a colleague told the local press.
A few hours after the doctor’s body was discovered, police detained a suspect: Elena’s ex-boyfriend, a 30-year-old man. According to investigators, the two had a hectic relationship and the woman recently decided to leave him.
It seems that on Monday morning the man was waiting for her in front of the house and, after a short fight, stabbed her in the neck.
Elena lived in Germany with her mother and 2-year-old son.
