In the last 24 hours there were 5,837 new cases of COVID-19, out of 20,790 tests; the positive rate is 28%. Another 131 people died after being infected by coronavirus, so the total balance exceeds 10,000 deaths. 1,174 COVID patients are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, on November 22, in Romania, 418,645 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.
295,148 patients were declared cured.
Following nationwide testing, compared to the last report, 5,837 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Unlike the newly confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 881 people were positively reconfirmed.
To date, 10,047 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.
Between 21.11.2020 (10:00) – 22.11.2020 (10:00) 131 deaths (69 men and 62 women) were reported, of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Harghita, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureib, Suhova, Sălajá.
Of these, 2 deaths were recorded in the age category 40 to 49 years, 10 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 32 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 56 deaths in the age category of age 70 to 79 years. years and 31 deaths in the category over 80 years.
125 of the deaths registered were of patients who presented comorbidities, 4 deceased patients did not present comorbidities and for 2 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported to date.
In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 13,492. Of these, 1,174 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 3,898,743 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 20,790 were performed in the last 24 hours, 13,258 based on case definition and medical protocol and 7,532 on request.
In Romania, 47,525 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home and 12,587 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 74,922 people are in home quarantine and 15 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 3,588 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on November 21 of this year, 7,208 penalties for minor offenses, amounting to 1,175,680 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 3 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
The Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of sanitary protection regulations can be notified.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,864 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,935 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 167 United Kingdom , 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, they have died.
Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
