Romania has more than 500,000 COVID cases. The number of patients in ATI, the highest so far

8,062 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours, of the 35,467 tests carried out. Another 176 Romanians died after becoming infected with COVID-19. There are currently 1,275 patients admitted to Intensive Care, the highest number so far.

To date, on December 4, in Romania, 500,273 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed. 390,212 patients were declared cured.

After tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 8,062 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest. Here is the table prepared based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

Aside from the recently confirmed cases, after reassessment of already positive patients, 1,453 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 12,052 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 03.12.2020 (10:00) – 04.12.2020 (10:00) 176 deaths were reported (109 men and 67 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomișa, Iași, Maramua, Mâraișor, Telemanu Sucea, Mâravahova, Telemanu Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 2 deaths were recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 6 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 19 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 42 deaths in the age category of age 60 to 69 years, 64 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 43 deaths in the category over 80 years.

170 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 4 deceased patients did not present comorbidities and for 2 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported to date.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12,940. Of these, 1,275 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 4,205,480 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 35,467 were performed in the last 24 hours, 23,340 based on the case definition and medical protocol, and 12,127 upon request.

In the Romanian territory, 45,133 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated at home and 12,138 people are in institutionalized isolation. In addition, 78,655 people are in home quarantine and 64 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 4,776 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 745 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on December 3 of this year, 5,711 sanctions for minor offenses, in the amount of 987,700 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 1 crime was found for frustrating the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

„We remind the public that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection regulations can be notified. The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for verification of the notified aspects ”, shows GCS.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,914 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,936 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,056 in Germany, 167 in the Mar United Kingdom, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 11 in the Republic of Moldova and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 127 Romanian citizens abroad, 32 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, they have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
