In the last 24 hours there were 952 new cases of COVID-19, out of 14,670 tests performed. Another 39 people died due to the coronavirus infection, while 492 patients were admitted to intensive care.
To date, on August 30, in Romania, 86,785 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. 37,665 patients were declared cured and 10,785 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.
To date, 3,578 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died. Between 29.08.2020 (10:00) – 30.08.2020 (10:00) there were 39 deaths (23 men and 16 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brașov, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Giurgiu, Gorj, Hunedoara, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Prahova, Sibiu, Teleorman, Vaslui, Vrancea and Bucharest.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 4 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 12 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 10 deaths in the category of age 70 to 79 years and 12 deaths in the category of over 80 years.
32 of the deaths registered were of some patients who presented comorbidities, 2 deceased patients did not present comorbidities and for 5 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported to date.
In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 7,213. Of these, 492 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 1,795,633 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 14,670 were performed in the last 24 hours, 7,904 based on the definition of the case and medical protocol, and 6,766 on request.
In Romania, 9,132 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 5,839 people are institutionally isolated. In addition, 32,955 people are in home quarantine and 71 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 742 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112. As a consequence of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 05.15.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 1,116 sanctions for contravention, amounting to 307,402 lei. Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, 3 crimes were found yesterday to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
