In the last 24 hours, 6,546 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported, the highest number of diseases since the start of the pandemic. The number of deaths due to coronavirus infections is also increasing, another 103 Romanians have died. There are 917 COVID patients in intensive care.
To date, on October 30, in Romania, 235,586 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.
167,897 patients were declared cured.
After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 6,546 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.
Four more regions entered the red scenario after exceeding the rate of 3 infections per inhabitant.

Distinguished from recently confirmed cases, after reassessing patients who were already positive, 1,059 people were positively reconfirmed.
To date, 6,867 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.
Between 29.10.2020 (10:00) – 30.10.2020 (10:00) 103 deaths (64 men and 39 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița- Năsăud, Botoșani, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Harghita, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Praceahova, Timi, Sulaifo, Vlica Vasahova, Timi, Sulaifo, Vlica Vasrance.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 3 deaths were recorded in the category 40 to 49 years, 13 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 30 deaths in the category of age 60-69 years, 30 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 26 deaths in the category over 80 years.
100 of the registered deaths were of some patients who presented comorbidities and 3 deceased patients did not present comorbidities.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 11,236. Of these, 917 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 3,206,567 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 36,335 were performed in the last 24 hours, 22,342 based on the case definition and medical protocol, and 13,993 upon request.
Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 254 tests processed before the last 24 hours and delivered until October 30 have been reported.
In Romania, 28,762 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 11,253 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 53,050 people are in home quarantine and 15 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 2,988 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 952 of the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and the gendarmerie applied, in the last 24 hours, 6,939 sanctions for contravention, worth 952,435 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, 7 crimes were found yesterday to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
We remind the public that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to sanitary protection regulations can be notified.
The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,852 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,934 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 159 in the Kingdom United, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 7 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Qatar , Vatican and Portugal.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, they have died.
Of the Romanian citizens confirmed as infected by the new coronavirus, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
