Coronavirus Romania, balance October 22. As of Thursday, in Romania, 196,004 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus have been confirmed. 141,089 patients were declared cured.

After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 4,902 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipality and county level of Bucharest is as follows:

Until Thursday, 6,163 of those diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 21.10.2020 (10:00) and 22.10.2020 (10:00) it was reported 98 deaths (55 men and 43 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Harghita , Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Prahova, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 5 deaths in the category 40 to 49 years, 6 deaths were recorded in the age category 50 to 59 years, 32 deaths in the category of age of 60 years. -69 years, 29 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 25 deaths in the category over 80 years.

95 of the registered deaths were of patients who had comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities and for 2 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported to date.

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 10,354. Of these, 778 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 2,961,562 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 34,466 were carried out in the last 24 hours, 21,260 according to the case definition and medical protocol and 13,206 upon request.

In Romania, 23,455 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 9,755 people are in institutional isolation. Furthermore, 51,169 people are in home quarantine and 52 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 2,513 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 923 of the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and the gendarmerie applied, in the last 24 hours, 5,931 sanctions for minor infractions, amounting to 793,577 lei.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, they have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
