Romania coronavirus, balance sheet December 11. 545,567 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) were confirmed in Romania. 443,168 patients were declared cured.
On Thursday, the balance of new cases of Covid-19 was 7,067 infected people, out of more than 31,000 tests carried out.
On Wednesday, 7,365 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Romania out of the more than 31,000 tests carried out.
Tuesday’s balance was higher: 7,439 Covid-19 cases out of more than 29,000 tests performed.
The balance of 1:00 p.m. – 6,460 new cases and 168 deaths
To date, on December 11, in Romania, 545,567 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. 443,168 patients were declared cured.
As a result of the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 6,460 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.
Aside from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 1,252 people were positively reconfirmed.

Between 10.12.2020 (10:00) and 11.12.2020 (10:00) it was reported 168 deaths (97 men and 71 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brăila, Brașov, Botoșani, Buzău, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița hospitals , Dolj, Galați, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age group 20 to 29 years, 2 deaths in the age category 30 to 39 years, 8 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 16 deaths in the age category of age 50 to 59 years, 44 deaths in the age group 60 to 69 years, 49 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 48 deaths in the category over 80 years.
155 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, for 9 deceased patients no comorbidities were registered and for 4 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported to date.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 12,319. Of these, 1,299 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 4,386,813 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 30,246 were carried out in the last 24 hours, 20,287 based on the case definition and medical protocol and 9,959 upon request.
Quarantine and isolation
In Romania, 40,530 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 11,527 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 66,100 people are in home quarantine and 116 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 4,321 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 729 of the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.
Criminal cases and sanctions
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on December 10 this year, 5,540 sanctions for minor offenses, in the amount of 873,000 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 5 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified.
The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.
The situation of Romanians in the diaspora
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,950 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,936 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 125 in France, 3,084 in Germany, 167 in the Mar UK, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 4 in Sweden, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 12 in the Republic of Moldova, 2 in Montenegro and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal, Egypt and the Russian Federation.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 127 Romanian citizens abroad, 32 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, they have died.
Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
