Romania coronavirus, balance sheet December 10. In Romania, 539,107 cases of people infected by the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) were confirmed. 434,679 patients were declared cured.

On Wednesday, 7,365 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Romania out of the more than 31,000 tests carried out.

Tuesday’s balance was higher: 7,439 Covid-19 cases out of more than 29,000 tests performed.

Until today, December 10, in Romanian territory, they were confirmed 539,107 cases of people infected by the new coronavirus (COVID-19). 434,679 patients were declared cured.

After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 7,067 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.

To date, 12,948 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 09.12.2020 (10:00) and 10.12.2020 (10:00) it was reported 127 deaths (71 men and 56 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brăila, Brașov, Botoșani, Buzău, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Covasna , Dolj, Galați, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș, Vâlcea, Vaslui and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age group 20 to 29 years, 1 death in the age group 30 to 39 years, 2 deaths in the age group 40 to 49 years, 18 deaths in the category of age 50 to 59 years, 34 deaths in the age group 60 to 69 years, 34 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 37 deaths in the age group over 80 years.

124 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, for 1 deceased patient no comorbidities were recorded and for 2 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported so far.

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 12,251. Of these, 1,288 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 4,356,567 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 31,437 were performed in the last 24 hours, 21,078 based on case definition and medical protocol and 10,359 upon request.

Isolation and quarantine at home.

In Romania, 42,757 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 11,637 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 89,673 people are in home quarantine and 115 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

Calls to 112 and TelVerde

In the last 24 hours, 4,093 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 735 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on December 9 of this year, 5,401 sanctions for minor offenses, in the amount of 816,130 lei.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

The situation of Romanians in the diaspora

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,946 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,936 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 125 in France, 3,084 in Germany, 167 in the Mar UK, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 4 in Sweden, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 11 in the Republic of Moldova and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 127 Romanian citizens abroad, 32 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, they have died.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 7,365 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.

Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after reassessment of the patients who were already positive, 1,169 people were positively reconfirmed.

As of Wednesday, 12,821 people diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 infection had died.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 40 to 49 years, 14 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 38 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 65 deaths in the age category age 70 to 79 years and 43 deaths in the category over 80 years.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 12,430. Of these, 1,271 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 4,325,130 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 31,458 were performed in the last 24 hours, 20,394 based on the definition of the case and medical protocol and 11,064 upon request.
