Coronavirus Romania, balance October 8. As of Sunday, 303,751 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed in Romania. 204,679 patients were declared cured.
The latest record was set on Friday, November 6, when 10,260 new Covid-19 illnesses were recorded.
Saturday’s balance was also high: 9,937 new cases out of more than 36,000 tests performed, as well as a record number of infected patients in intensive care: 1,080.
The balance of 1:00 p.m. – 6,752 new cases and 86 deaths
Until today, November 8, in Romanian territory, they were confirmed 303,751 cases of people infected by the new coronavirus (COVID-19). 204,679 patients were declared cured.
After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 6,752 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.
Apart from newly confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 927 people were positively reconfirmed.

Until today, 7,879 of those diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 died.
Between 07.11.2020 (10:00) and 08.11.2020 (10:00) it was reported 86 deaths (40 men and 46 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu , Harghita, Iași, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Ilfov and Bucharest.
Of these, 4 deaths were recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 3 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 5 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 25 deaths in the age category age 60 to 69 years, 32 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 17 deaths in the category over 80 years.
83 of the registered deaths were of patients who presented comorbidities and 3 deceased patients did not present comorbidities.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12,295. Of these, 1,056 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 3,476,645 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 21,552 were carried out in the last 24 hours, 13,421 according to the case definition and medical protocol and 8,131 upon request.
Home isolation and quarantine
In Romania, 40,629 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home and 23,788 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 71,017 people are in home quarantine and 20 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 2,956 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112.
Criminal cases and sanctions
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 8,778 penalties for minor offenses, worth 1,422,800 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 6 infractions were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified.
The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.
The situation of Romanians in the diaspora
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,862 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,934 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 167 in the Kingdom United, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Qatar , Vatican, Portugal and Egypt.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, they have died.
Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

122 of the deaths registered were of some patients who presented comorbidities, 3 deceased patients did not present comorbidities and for 5 deceased patients so far no comorbidities have been reported.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 12,113, of which 1,048 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 3,455,093 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 36,202 were conducted in the last 24 hours, 20,612 according to the case definition and medical protocol and 15,590 on request.
