The Secretary of Energy of the United States, Dan Brouillette, and the Romanian Minister of Economy, Energy and Business Environment, Virgil Popescu, signed a draft intergovernmental cooperation agreement to expand and modernize Romania’s civil nuclear energy program, reports MEDIAFAX.
“Once formally executed, this landmark agreement will lay the foundation for Romania to use US expertise and technology with units 3 and 4 of the multinational equipment construction reactor at the Cernavoda nuclear power plant and unit 1 of the reactor.
