A 32-year-old driver died on Saturday night, after a traffic accident in the city of Năsăud, and two other people, passengers of the car he was driving, were injured, according to data provided by the County Police Inspectorate of Bistriţa (LEI). -Năsăud, informs Agerpres.
Two cars were involved in the accident, the second being driven by a 19-year-old young man, who was tested with the breathalyzer, the result was negative.
The right-hand-drive car in which the deceased and the two victims were, one of whom was the driver’s wife, was completely destroyed after being hit by a post and a building fence.
After the checks, the police discovered that the deceased driver had his driver’s license revoked.
Road traffic was blocked for about an hour and a half on the boulevard of the city of Nasaud where the accident occurred, diverting traffic onto alternative routes.
According to the Bistriţa-Năsăud Inspectorate of Emergency Situations (ISU), the two victims transported to the hospital are a 19-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, who suffered several injuries.
The police have opened a criminal case for wrongful death and wrongful bodily injury, and the exact cause and circumstances of the accident will be determined.
