Joe Biden’s campaign manager said Thursday that she was confident he would win the US election and described President Donald Trump’s demands as “unfounded,” the dpa reported.

CNN predictions show that Joe Biden leads with 253 electoral votes, while Donald Trump has 213 votes of the 270 required.

“I think the day will be very positive for the vice president. We are absolutely confident that Joe Biden will be the future president of the United States.” he said, anticipating the Democratic candidate’s victory in several key states where votes are still being counted.
He expressed his hope for a result later Thursday, but also said the voting process could take longer.. “Be calm”he urged.
Georgia and Nevada could close the count on Thursday, while in Arizona and Pennsylvania this process could extend until Friday or even longer.
Donald Trump and his staff have multiplied their demands to challenge the results announced by at least five federal states.
