In the last 24 hours there were 2,064 new cases of COVID-19 out of 24,847 tests. Authorities have reported another 32 deaths due to coronavirus infections. In ATI the number of hospitalized patients reaches 583.
According to GCS, 134,065 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus were confirmed in Romania as of Saturday. 107,058 patients were declared cured.
In the last 24 hours, 2,064 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test. Aside from newly confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 533 people were positively reconfirmed.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, 4,947 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
In the last 24 hours there were 32 deaths (18 men and 14 women) of patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Bacau, Bihor, Calarasi, Caras-Severin, Covasna, Dambovita, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iași , Mehedinți, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Teleorman, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.
Of these, there was one death in the age category 30 to 39 years, two deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 4 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 7 deaths in the age category of age 60 to 69 years, 10 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 8 deaths in the category over 80 years.
All deaths were in patients with comorbidities.
According to GCS, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 in hospitals is 7,734. Of these, 583 are hospitalized in ATI.
As of Saturday, 2,496,439 evidence had been processed in the country. Of these, 24,847 were performed in the last 24 hours, 15,455 based on case definition and medical protocol and 9,392 on request.
10,817 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 7,516 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 23,237 people are in home quarantine and 28 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
