Registry of coronavirus infections. Romania exceeds the critical threshold of 2,000 diseases in 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 2,158 new cases of COVID-19 have been registered, the highest number of coronavirus infections since the start of the pandemic. In intensive care, 550 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in serious condition.

To date, on September 30, in Romania, 127,572 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

102,476 patients were declared cured.

Following nationwide testing, compared to the last report, 2,158 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were recorded, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 674 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 4,825 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 29.09.2020 (10:00) – 30.09.2020 (10:00) there were 33 deaths (21 men and 12 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Botoșani, Brașov, Constanța, Gorj, Harghita, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Prahova, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 2 deaths were recorded in the age category 40 to 49 years, 5 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 10 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 6 deaths in the age category age 70 to 79 years. years and 10 deaths in the category of over 80 years.

31 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, one deceased patient did not present comorbidities and for a deceased patient, no comorbidities have been reported so far.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,496. Of these, 550 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 2,419,691 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 26,021 were performed in the last 24 hours, 16,233 based on the definition of the case and medical protocol and 9,788 on request.

In Romania, 10,677 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home and 7,348 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 22,986 people are in home quarantine and 28 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 1,254 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 632 of the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55 of 05.15.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 383 penalties for minor offenses, amounting to 57,800 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday a crime was found for frustrating the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the public that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,696 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected by COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,917 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 119 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 7 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 2 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Hungary and Qatar.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, they have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 733 were declared cured: 613 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
