In the last 24 hours, 5,869 new cases of COVID-19 were registered and 162 Romanians died after being infected with SARS-VOC-2. Two deaths were recorded in the age group 30 to 39 years. 1,373 patients are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, on March 27, in the territory of Romania, 932,179 cases of people infected by the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. 834,162 patients were declared cured.
After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 5,869 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), These are cases that have not previously had a positive test.
Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after reassessment of the patients who were already positive, 1,175 people were positively reconfirmed.
To date, 22,997 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.
Between 26.03.2021 (10:00) – 27.03.2021 (10:00) 162 deaths were reported (76 men and 86 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brăila, Botoșani, Brașov, Călărași, Cluj, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Dâmbovița , Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș, Vaslui, Vâlcea, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.
Of these, 2 deaths were recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 5 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 11 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 44 deaths in the age category of age 60 to 69 years, 56 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 44 deaths in the category of over 80 years.
151 of the deaths registered were of some patients who presented comorbidities, 2 deceased patients did not present comorbidities and for 9 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported to date.
In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 12,332. Of these, 1,373 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 6,634,693 RT-PCR tests and 565,902 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationwide. In the last 24 hours, 25,528 RT-PCR tests were performed (14,150 based on case definition and medical protocol and 11,378 on request) and 11,616 rapid antigen tests.
In Romania, 69,565 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated at home and 15,942 people are in institutionalized isolation. Additionally, 53,657 people are in home quarantine and 97 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 5,107 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 828 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on March 26, 6,679 sanctions for minor offenses, in the amount of 1,219,608 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 5 criminal proceedings were raised to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
