The Vâlcea County Emergency Situations Committee decided that the municipality of Râmnicu Vâlcea should enter the red stage, so all schools in the city will be closed. The incidence of Covid-19 cases reached 4.45 per thousand inhabitants.

Local authorities are announcing drastic measures after the number of new coronavirus cases rises steadily and its implementation begins on October 14. Therefore, all schools will switch to the red dash, which means that students will take classes exclusively online. The decision is also valid for activities carried out in the municipal nurseries.

According to data from the Public Health Directorate, cited by local publications, in the territory of Vâlcea County, 3,066 cases of people infected by the SARS-CoV-2 virus have been confirmed since the start of the pandemic.

Currently, 128 dedicated positive people are hospitalized in the dedicated health units in Vâlcea County, their health is as follows: 39 are asymptomatic and with mild forms of infection, 81 have medium forms and 8 are hospitalized in the ATI department.
