The Compañía Nacional de Ferrocarriles CFR SA informs that the railway traffic is closed at this time in the relations Bucharest Obor – Pantelimon and Resita Nord – Caransebes, due to the derailment of wagons of the composition of two trains, a passenger train R 8023 and a private train goods, writes Agerpres.
According to a company statement, train traffic is currently closed on the Bucharest Obor – Pantelimon route (and back), after the first car of the passenger train R 8023 derailed from a bogie, at the exit of the Bucharest Obor station. Until the intervention operations are completed to change the railing of the derailed wagon and the removal of the lining at the station, the trains that depart from Bucharest Obor station to Constanza will have the Bucharest North station as their departure / arrival station.
Also, at this time, train traffic on the North Resita – Caransebeş route is closed, due to the derailment, at the entrance to the Cornuţel Banat stop, with 12 wagons and the overturning of a wagon, based on the composition of a private freight train. The train, which belongs to the private freight operator Tim Rail Cargo, had 25 wagons loaded and ran on the Resita Nord – Slatina route. In the event of this derailment, during the period necessary for the intervention operations to restore the derailed wagons and the overturned wagon, SRCF Timişoara will ensure the transshipment of wagons for passenger trains, in the Resita Nord – Caransebes relationship.
“The railway personnel of the Bucharest Bucharest and Timişoara branches, in the radius in which the two railway events were recorded, will intervene with relief trains with hydraulic winches, to put the wagons back on the track, and at the end of the interventions specialized personnel will control the line and intervene for possible technical remedies, necessary procedures for the safe reopening of rail traffic ”, is specified in the railway operator’s statement.
The Empresa Nacional de Ferrocarriles CFR SA apologizes to passengers for the inconvenience caused by these events and assures them that all interventions carried out at the site are aimed at resuming rail traffic in safe conditions.
