Asked on Thursday, October 15 at a press conference at the PSD headquarters in which he announced that he would join the party if he participated in the protest in Victoriei Square, in the winter of 2017 or in Victoriei Square, on August 10, 2018, Alexandru Rafila answer: “I went in 2017, not in 2018”.
When asked why he felt the need to go outside in 2017, Professor Rafila replied: “And then certain things happened that, from a political point of view, were not correct and needed to be corrected. And finally, the protest in a public market by large numbers of people shows that society does not tolerate such lapses. And I think that was the message, and I don’t think it’s a shame to make such a gesture. On the contrary, it is a defense of a civic right of democracy and this must be affirmed and respected very clearly ”, added Rafila.
Alexandru Rafila announced on October 15 that he will join the PSD and run on the party’s list in the parliamentary elections. He will open the party list in the Chamber of Deputies in Bucharest.
