“I did not vote for Viorica Dăncilă. Would I have voted with Viorica Dăncilă if she were a member of the PSD? I couldn’t. Viorica Dăncilă is a respectable person, I have absolutely nothing to do with her, but this quality of party president, prime minister, must to be busy, especially if we are talking about a great match, by a person who not only has management skills, they must have deep knowledge in various fields and must have communication skills ”, said Alexandru Rafila.

When asked by the press why he chose PSD after rejecting another party’s offer to run for Bucharest City Council, Rafila said that local administration is not his area of expertise.

“I know PSD, I have not known Mr. Ciolacu for a long time, but I had an open meeting, without conditions and he understood that first I am a doctor and I will always respect my professional conscience, and only then will I be a party member. PSD? Because after this proposal I did not receive another proposal in this regard and I do not think that belonging to a party should be considered a fault. The political spectrum must be professionalized ”, declared Rafila.

Asked if elections can be held on December 6, Rafila replied: “The next two weeks will be decisive. If the upward trend is going to increase rapidly, there must be a thought from the entire political class about the right time. I cannot make predictions. Those with responsibility, in the government and the Ministry of Health, may decide accordingly based on the INSP data. ”
