“There will be additions to the decision of the Municipal Committee for Emergency Situations, because the Government Decision that provides for mandatory measures provides for certain actions. Among these actions are gambling halls, as far as I know. If they were not included, they will be included, because they were foreseen in the Government’s Decision and their closure is mandatory ”, stated Raed Arafat on TVR 1.

The Secretary of State of the Ministry of the Interior affirmed then that “there will be no return to the state of emergency. The measures are applied only at the local level, where the incidence of coronavirus cases per thousand inhabitants, in 14 days, increases above 1.5 ”.

We expected an increase, but growth must be controlled and restrictive measures applied, as other countries do, for a limited time. It is not uncontrolled growth, it is community transmission in certain areas and we have to stop it.

Raed Arafat:

The Secretary of State of the Ministry of the Interior then specified that, if the number of new cases of COVID-19 increases, other measures will be taken, such as the use of a mask in open spaces, in the affected regions.

“We do not blame the population, we mean the party that does not respect the rules. If there is an increase, other measures will have to be taken. For example, the mask can be mandatory in open spaces, but only in affected areas, ”warned Raed Arafat.

“At this time the closure of the gyms has not been discussed, but there are rules that must be followed,” Arafat concluded.

The Municipal Committee for Emergency Situations established today, October 6, the restrictions in Bucharest: restaurants, cinemas, theaters and cafes are closed, and the use of masks will be mandatory around schools, within a radius of 100 meters.

The prefect of the Capital, Gheorghe Cojanu, specified that the restrictions will come into force on Wednesday, October 7 and will be in force until the incidence rate of coronavirus cases per thousand inhabitants, in 14 days, falls below 1.5.
