PSD’s old guard drawn on the dead line / Oprișan, Iordache, Nicolicea and Carmen Dan not on PSD list in Parliament – Politics

This week, the PSD leadership centralizes the organizations’ proposals for the list in the parliamentary elections on December 6. Social Democratic sources told HotNews.ro that the controversial PSD MPs who sat next to Liviu Dragnea will no longer hold a seat in Parliament. On the blacklist are names like Florin Iordache, Eugen Nicolicea, Carmen Dan and Iulian Iancu. Furthermore, Vrancea Baron Marian Oprișan is fired.

Florin Iordache, former Minister of Justice who issued the famous ordinance 13/2017 that amended the Penal Codes and triggered anti-government protests is no longer wanted in Parliament by the current leadership.

Furthermore, Eugen Nicolicea was left without political support along with Carmen Dan and Eugen Teodorovici, who came into direct conflict with PSD leaders Mihai Tudose and Marcel Ciolacu.

Along with the four current deputies and senators, on the blacklist are also the former ministers supported by Dragnea: Dănuț Andrușcă, Eugen Teodorovici, Răzvan Cuc but also Cătălin Rădulescu (Machine Gun) and Ecaterina Andronescu.

The Baron of Vrancea, Marian Oprișan, wanted an eligible place on the PSD list in the Senate, but does not have the support of the PSD leadership. After the conflict with Marcel Ciolacu, who asked him to step back after losing the local elections, Oprișan is marginalized in the PSD and currently only has the quality of a simple party member.

Instead, names like Sorin Grindeanu, Gabriela Firea, Paul Stănescu and Marcel Ciolacu are found in eligible places on the PSD list in Parliament.
