The Social Democrats lost the City Hall of the capital and almost all sectors of Bucharest to the candidates supported by PNL and USR-PLUS.
According to the results of the Exit Survey carried out by CURS-Avangarde, from the data valid for 9:00 p.m., in the General City Council of the Capital the results are the following:
Nicusor Dan (independently supported by PNL – USR PLUS) obtained 47.8% of the votes, followed by Gabriela Firea (PSD) who obtained 38.2% of the votes, Traian Basescu (PMP) with 9.4% , Florin Calinescu (Green Party) with 1.8% and Calin Popescu Tariceanu (ALDE) with 1.6%.

In the Sector 1 Town Hall, Clotilde Armand (USR PLUS) obtained 48% of the votes, followed by Daniel Tudorache (PSD) who obtained 36.5%, Ioana Constantin (PMP) with 7.5%, Adina-Magdalena Alberts (PRO Alliance Bucharest 2020) by 1.8%, Daniel Bucura (independent) by 1.7%, Amalia Nenovici (ALDE) by 1.4%.
In the Sector 2 Town Hall, Radu Mihaiu (USR PLUS) obtained 42.5% of the votes, followed by Dan Cristian Popescu (PSD) who obtained 30.4%, Neculai Ontanu (Alianza ADER PPU-SL) with 12.7%, Marian Catalin Militaru (PMP) with 6.2%, Florin Manea (Alianta Pro Bucuresti 2020) with 2.7% and Ramona Ioana Mezei (ALDE) with 1.5%.
In the Town Hall of Sector 3, Robert Negoita (Alianta Pro Bucuresti 2020) obtained 41.5% of the votes, followed by Adrian Moraru (PNL – USR PLUS) with 32.6%, Aurelian Badulescu (PSD) with 12.3%, Mihail Neamtu (PMP) with 7.7% and Bogdan Valentin Bratianu (ALDE) with 1.2%.
In Sector 4 Town Hall, Daniel Baluta (PSD) obtained 56.0% of the votes, followed by the candidate Simona Elena Spataru (PNL – USR PLUS) with 35.2%, Stefanel Dan Marin (PMP) with 3.9% and Ovidiu Zara (PER) by 1.2%.
In the Sector City Council On October 5, Cristian Bacanu (PNL – USR PLUS) tied with Cristian Popescu Piedone (Humanist Power Party), who obtained 27.9% of the votes each, followed by Daniel Florea (PSD) with 23.1 %, Marian Vanghelie (Independent Social Democratic Party). ) with 13.9%, Catalin Lucian Iliescu (PMP) with 4.1% and Ion Valentin Voicu (ALDE) with 1.3%.
In the Sector 6 Town Hall, Ciprian Ciucu (PNL) obtained 47.8% of the votes, followed by Gabriel Mutu (PSD) who obtained 34.5%, Stefan Florescu (PMP) with 7.7%, Tudor Ionescu (ALDE) with 3 , 1%, Mihai Denes (independent) with 2.1% and Anca Balasoiu (Alianata PRO Bucharest 2020) with 1.8%.

Timisoara
Nicolae Robu lost the local elections for the Timisoara City Council, where he is running for a new term, to USR-PLUS candidate Dominic Fritz.
The mayor of Timisoara was in a close fight with Dominic Fritz, a candidate originally from Germany who recently entered Romanian politics and participated in an electoral race for the first time.

Constant
Vergil Chitac (PNL) tied with Stelian Ion (USR PLUS) and obtained 28.5% of the votes each, followed by Deceban Fagadau (PSD) with 22.8%, tie between Horia Constantinescu (PPU – SL) and Corina Martín (Romanian Ecological Party) with 3.6% each, Claudiu Palaz (PMP) with 3.1% and equality between Victor Cruceru (ALDE) and Anton Traian Antonidias (Elena Unión) with 1.3% each.
Iasi
Liberals say that Mihai Chirica, a former PSD, now supported by the PNL, won a new term as mayor of Iasi.

Oradea city
The mayor of Oradea, Ilie Bolojan and PNL candidate for the presidency of the Bihor Provincial Council (CJ), affirmed that the new mayor of the municipal seat is Florin Birta, current deputy mayor and leader of the PNL Oradea organization.
