Prostitute at 11 years old. The cruel lives of girls fleeing reception centers: beaten, sexually exploited and driven to the brink of suicide

The Bacău courts resolved, after several years of investigation and judicial investigation, a scandalous case of sexual exploitation, whose victims were minors from reception centers. The three men, aged between 23 and 33, were prosecuted for the crimes of trafficking in minors and rape, respectively, and were sentenced to between four and five months and eight years in prison.

The scandalous case came to light after the youngest of the victims, an 11-year-old girl, was found by a team of gendarmes on the side of a road near Roman, where she had been taken to recruit clients for sex by a fee. . Although the pimp under whose tutelage taught him not to deny his true identity, the girl told the gendarmes her real name. Thus, after verifications, the gendarmes discovered that the girl appeared to have fled from a detention center in Bacău county and was on the Romanian police list of missing minors.

The investigation initiated by the police would reveal terrifying details, along with the 11-year-old minor, other victims in a vulnerable situation were also identified, who in turn fled the reception centers. Children who have been abandoned by their parents or have been victims of their abuse. Her recovery for Child Protection has failed, as it does in many cases. In vulnerable situations, minors believe that the street gives them freedom. Under this mirage, minors who flee from reception centers end up in much more serious situations.

In the present case, the 11-year-old girl was lured by a pimp while leaving the courtyard of the reception center. The 33-year-old man offered the girl alcohol, seduced her with romantic statements, then took her to a vacant lot, where he sexually abused her.

“The effect of alcohol and sexual contact, the first in her life, made the 11-year-old girl lose consciousness, a condition from which she only recovered the next morning, when she accepted the proposal of the accused. to get on a train that would take them to Bacău. Upon arrival at the destination, the minor victim was taken to the area of ​​the bus station, where several homeless people had arranged a shelter in a complex of abandoned and dilapidated buildings ”, is mentioned in the decision of the Bacău Court of Appeal .

Once integrated among the homeless people stationed in the Bacău bus station area, the 11-year-old was sexually abused and begged near supermarkets during the day. Every night the pimp who had lured her recruited his clients, forcing her to have sex for a fee. For almost two weeks, the minor was sexually exploited / During all this time, the defendant repeatedly administered extreme physical corrections, caused by the insufficient amount of money he obtained from begging.

Seduced by another pimp

After she managed to escape from Bacău, the girl went to Roman, where she would be lured by another pimp, who sexually exploited her until she was discovered by the gendarme’s crew.

Another minor, who had fled from a reception center in Iasi, was, in turn, a victim of pimps. According to witnesses heard by investigators, he also suffered severe beatings, which at one point brought him to the brink of suicide.

At one point (…) I met “Ş”. through the park next to the hospital. He was crying because his hand was broken. LC caught up with her, grabbed a large stone from the bottom and wanted to hit her on the head. At that moment I intervened. Rev. He told me how difficult life was with LC, that he beat her very often if he did not bring money from begging, that he broke his hand and did not want to go back there. (…) He was hitting her very hard. He punched her so hard in the back that she wanted to spit blood. Her hand was also broken. Several times she wanted to jump off the footbridge of the Iaşi train station, because of LC, ”said one of the witnesses heard by the DIICOT Bacău prosecutors, who investigated this case.

In fact, the violent episodes to which the minors were subjected by the pimps were reported by several witnesses. Due to the trauma she suffered, in the case of the 11-year-old girl, the judges forced the pimps who trafficked her to pay her 30,000 lei as moral damage.
