Avangarde conducted a post-election poll, from December 10 to 20, in a sample of 900 people, with a margin of error of + -3.2%. The method used was by telephone (CATI).

Thus, according to the study, 74% of Romanians are dissatisfied with the direction in which the country is heading at the moment. On the other hand, 14% say that the direction is good, while 12% did not respond.

When asked if the date of December 6, chosen for the parliamentary elections, was good or not, 49% of those surveyed said no and 43% said yes.

In addition, the survey verified the perception of Romanians about which party would have the right to propose to the prime minister. 21% of those who responded indicated PSD, because it is the party that obtained the highest score in the elections, 19% said PNL, because it is the largest party in the right-wing alliance, and 17% indicated a technocratic prime minister . .

To this question, 36% of the respondents said they did not know or did not want to answer.

Regarding the suitable person to occupy the position of Head of Government, 15% indicated Professor Alexandru Rafila (PSD proposal), 12% Florin Cîţu (PNL proposal), 8% Dacian Cioloş (USR PLUS) and 5% on the current interim prime minister, Nicolae Ciucă (PNL).

Romanians have a lot of trust in firefighters (63%), SMURD (an institution that also includes firefighters – 55%), the army (58%), the Orthodox Church (39%) and the Romanian police (33% ). At the bottom of the ranking is Parliament, which is trusted by 16% of Romanians.

Senator Anca Dragu of the USR PLUS Alliance was elected, on Monday night, as President of the Senate. He obtained 75 votes “in favor” and 51 votes “against”, out of a total of 133 votes cast, of which 7 were null.

PSD senator Lucian Romaşcanu also registered in the race for this position, obtaining 51 votes “in favor” and 75 “against”.

In the Chamber of Deputies, the president of the PNL, Ludovic Orban, and the leader of the group of PSD deputies, Alfred Simonis, were the only candidates for the position of president of the Chamber of Deputies.

289 deputies voted, out of a total of 322 who were sworn in. Ludovic Orban obtained 179 votes “in favor” and 110 “against”. Alfred Simonis received 110 votes “for” and 179 “against.”
