Five people died on Saturday in France, after the collision of a ULM and a tourist plane in Loches (center), said the prefecture of the department on Saturday, reports AFP.

“A small ULM carrying two people and a DA40 tourist plane carrying three people collided between 16:30 and 17:00, the first landing on the fence of a house in Loches, without causing more victims, the second a few hundred meters in an uninhabited area, “Nadia Seghier, secretary general of the Indre-et-Loire prefecture, told AFP.

“All five people involved are dead,” he added.

About fifty firefighters were dispatched to the scene, as well as thirty gendarmes to establish diversion routes.

The identity of the victims and the reason for the collapse are still unknown.
