The first model of the Dacia brand in the mini segment, Spring shows a unique design for a “conventional” electric car. High ground clearance, wheel arch level protections and flag bars give it the look of a mini SUV, ideal for tackling the urban jungle, company representatives announced.

The general line of the car is distinguished by specific elements of the universe of crossover models: well-contoured wheel arches, flag bars, reinforced bumpers at the bottom, protective shield at the rear and a high ground clearance (150 mm empty) .

The domed hood and prominent sides give the model a robust appearance. However, Spring belongs to the mini segment: its dimensions are only 3.73 m long, 1.62 meters wide (without mirrors) and 1.51 m high.

Spring does not go unnoticed in traffic. Its front end exudes a strong personality thanks to the prominent bonnet, generously sized bumper and narrow LED-equipped headlights, the horizontal line of which is extended by the trim on the upper part of the grille. A distinctive feature of electric vehicles, the Spring grille is not perforated. With a modern look, underlined by 3D elements, it also includes the access hatch to the charging cable, which opens from inside the car.

Dacia Spring offers surprisingly large interior space and a spacious boot. Cozy and well equipped, the cabin can comfortably accommodate four adults.

In the rear seats, which benefit from generous headroom and 100mm knee-to-front seatback clearance, even above-average riders can find a seat without a problem, representatives added. of the company.

The impression of available space also contributes to the overall comfort felt inside. The front seat occupants have storage spaces at the glove box, door faces and base of the center console, totaling 23.1 L. Rear passengers benefit from pockets located in the backs of the front seats.

The boot has the highest cargo capacity in the segment: 300 liters (excluding the space under the boot for the spare wheel available as an option). This value is usually found in the technical sheet of some models in the upper segment, subcompact. The rear seat is folding, thus providing a cargo capacity of about 600 liters when required.

The model has, in series or optionally, a multitude of equipment, among which the following stand out: 100% electric variable-assist steering, remote central locking, electric windows, manual air conditioning system, multimedia system, electric adjustment of the mirrors.

A 3.5 ”digital display screen sits between the dash dials and the Google or Apple voice recognition system can be activated with the touch of a button on the steering wheel.

Both the outline of the central screen and that of the vents benefit from blue trim. The gear lever is replaced by an easy-to-use, chrome-plated rotary selector with 3 positions: D (forward / forward), N (neutral / neutral) and R (reverse / reverse).

According to the company, with a turning radius of just 4.8 m, Spring easily gets into city traffic. The optional parking aid system ensures safe driving thanks to ultrasonic sensors located in the rear bumper and a reversing camera whose image is displayed on the screen of the multimedia system with dynamic guidelines.

Available as an option, the Media Nav multimedia equipment includes a 7 ”touch screen, navigation system, DAB radio, Bluetooth connection, USB socket and is compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The voice recognition function (via smartphone) can be activated with a control on the steering wheel.
