Tătăruşanu, the Romanian national team’s starting goalkeeper, had arrived in Lyon in the summer of 2019 from FC Nantes from the position of free player. He defended in 6 games for the team led by Rudi García.

Tătăruşanu defended in just six games last season in all competitions and chose to go to another team, hoping for more opportunities to play.
The 34-year-old goalkeeper underwent a medical examination on Friday and signed a three-year contract with AC Milan, according to peninsula press.
Tătăruşanu will wear the number 1 jersey and will be the reserve for Gianluigi Donnarumma. His arrival could mean the departure of another Milan goalkeeper, Antonio Donnarumma, Gianluigi’s older brother.
The Romanian national team goalkeeper is not in his first experience in Serie A, defending the goal of Fiorentina in the period 2014-2017. Tătăruşanu started his career at Juventus Bucharest, and later played for Gloria Bistriţa and Steaua. Before arriving in Lyon, he defended the Nantes goal, between 2017 and 2019.
