Mitica Dragomir announced that she will not resign her mandate as councilor because she was “elected by the people”, in the context in which the PSD leadership wants to “clean” the list of general councilors in Bucharest, after the inclusion of candidates like Petre Roman , Anghel Iordanescu, Daniel Pancu and Cornel Dinu.

“I will be general counsel. I set a record, I competed everything I needed, I made the meeting … I do not give up. I am an elected body, I was elected by the people,” Dumitru Dragomir told Mediafax.

PSD sources confirmed for Ziare.com that Marcel Ciolacu, the leader of the Social Democrats, removed Petre Roman, Anghel Iordanescu and Dumitru Dragomir from the list of advisers proposed by Gabriela Firea. Former soccer player Daniel Pancu and coach Cornel Dinu also resign their general counsel mandates.

The former president of the Professional Football League Dumitru Dragomir was sentenced, in January 2019, by the Bucharest Court to 4 years in prison with execution, in a case in which he is accused of receiving more than 3 million euros in bribes from the RCS / RDS administrator, Ioan Bendei, in exchange for handing over the television rights to League 1 football matches. The decision is not final and the case must go to the Bucharest Court of Appeal.

Former Prime Minister Petre Roman is being sued in the “Mineriadei” case, for crimes against humanity.
