The Ministry of Education abandoned the idea of ​​parents completing a statement on their own responsibility when sending their children to school, a document by which they should have assumed that they do not present symptoms of illness and that the students have not come into contact with people infected. with SARS-CoV-2.

The statement, contained in the proposed regulation for the beginning of the school year, put to debate by the Ministry of Health, caused a lively controversy.

Monica Anisie told StiriEdu.ro that she asked Health Minister Nelu Tătaru to remove the statement on her own responsibility from her parents, Mediafax reports.

“I asked Minister Tataru to delete that statement on his own responsibility of the father and he agreed. We will publish the rules to start school tomorrow (Tuesday – na), they will no longer include the statement on his own responsibility,” said Monica Anisie .

The minister’s statements were confirmed by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC).

Parents must complete the declaration by September 14, with the start of the new school year.

At the government meeting on Monday, Prime Minister Ludovic Orban called on the Health Minister and the Education Minister to finalize the joint order setting out the rules for the resumption of the new school year. The prime minister told the two that the order is expected to be published on Tuesday, so preparations for the safe hours will begin.
