Prime Minister Ludovic Orban declared on Wednesday, in Pitesti, that, based on his evaluations, the growth rate of the number of people infected with SARS-CoV-2, in Romania, will be reduced as a result of the measures implemented.
“The opinion we have and the assessments we have is that the rate of growth of the number of infected will slow down. Generally, we analyze the data weekly, we do not analyze it daily, because there are not We are following the evolution of the reports in each region, in each locality and we have all the measures we have thought of to reduce the risk of contagion ”.Orban said.
The Prime Minister added that the Government is considering a new tender procedure for the purchase of protective masks for disadvantaged people.
Regarding the organization of the parliamentary elections on the date set, Ludovic Orban reiterated this fact “does not represent an additional risk of spreading the virus”, if the measures and rules imposed are observed.
191,102 cases of people infected by the new coronavirus have been confirmed in the country. 137,835 patients were declared cured.
Following tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 4,848 new cases of people infected with the new coronavirus were registered, reaching a new all-time record in Romania.
