Orban has a bomb document! Attention, Romania does not last 6 months.

In the foreground appears an alarm signal from the Romanian Association of Manufacturers of Industrial Medicines, pointing to the government led by Ludovic Orban.

PRIMER representatives emphasize that our country is exposed to great risk if the authorities do not take measures to create stocks of medicines.

These are those reserve stocks that are exclusively directed to the medicines that are so necessary during the cold season, which are considered to record the 2nd wave of Covid-19 infections.

Other countries have started preparations

PRIMER draws the attention of decision makers to the importance of this issue, especially to “go through the next 6 months, which are critical.”

In support of the statements published in the press release, the cited source claims that European countries have already started stockpiling drugs used for colds and flu.

Likewise, many of the member countries of the European Union have created reserve stocks with emergency injectable products used in Intensive Care Units, but also with antivirals.

Romania has export requests

A unique aspect is related to the fact that many countries turn to Romania to replenish their medicine stocks as soon as possible, according to PRIMER CEO Dragoş Damian:

“Since July and August, Romanian drug manufacturers have received export orders up to 10 times higher than in the same period in 2019.

It is a sign that the recipient countries are making strategic stocks to overcome the dangers of this fall and winter ”.

EU heavyweight race for medicines

Spain, Portugal, Germany, Sweden, the Baltic States, Italy, as well as countries of the former Soviet Union, the Middle East and Asia are already requesting additional quantities of drugs.

These medications are used to treat symptoms of colds, flu, and SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Thus, on the list we find paracetamol, ibuprofen, but also injectable drugs used in Intensive Care Units.

The goal is to create a reserve stock that is as consistent as possible with antibiotics, pain relievers, adrenaline, sedatives, blood thinners, muscle relaxants, and various infusion solutions.

Authorizations for special needs

“Some of these drugs are ordered on the basis of the special needs authorizations of the recipient countries, so that stocks can be filled as quickly as possible,” added Damian.

Other countries order significant quantities of generic drugs from manufacturers in Japan, Russia, South Korea and India that “have shown promising results.”

The majority of orders are for hydroxychloroquine, dexamethasone, favipiravir, and umifenovir.

In our country, the authorities seem to be asleep

Regarding the situation in Romania, a matter of serious concern is related to the fact that our authorities have not initiated any action with drug manufacturers.

At least that is what PRIMER affirms, announcing that the drug manufacturers in our country have not received orders from the authorities to create emergency stocks.

In this context, “the members of PRIMER have the lines busy with the manufacture of export orders.”

“Romania must immediately order stocks of the drugs mentioned above, in sufficient quantities.

We are at the disposal of the authorities, but if orders are not placed on time, there is a serious risk, as in the spring of this year, that the necessary medicines are no longer available or that we will not be able to produce additional stocks.

In addition, if new emergencies occur, imported drugs will not be able to reach the country if the borders are closed, ”the executive director warned.

PRIMER includes the 19 most important drug factories in the country, according to Agerpres.
