At an event broadcast online to audiences around the world, those in Oneplus Just a few moments ago, it announced the launch of new iconic models titled OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. Design and display
From a design point of view, we see a kind of facelift here, with no major changes in the look chapter. If the predecessor variants OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T opted for a dropdown screen, here is one bullet hole panel for the only selfie camera. And the screen’s side edges are now slightly curved and not as flat as last year’s models, and the back remains the same, except for the larger photo module needed to accommodate an additional camera.
OnePlus 8 It comes with a unibody case and has a metal frame in the middle, front panel covered in Gorilla Glass 6, and a matte textured glass back. New color variations including black, green, and pink-white gradient are also included. The phone weighs 180 grams and measures 160.2 x 72.9 x 8mm thick, a size reduction compared to the OP7T (160.9 x 74.4 x 8.1mm) thanks to the narrower edges around the screen.

As for the screen, the new phone comes with a panel identical to the OnePlus 7T, which is a AMOLED fluid with 6.55-inch diagonal and Full HD + resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It has Gorilla Glass 6 protection, HDR10 + support and 90Hz refresh rate. New here is camera shake of a cut on a bulletin board. We also have narrower front panel edges that contribute, as I said earlier, to reducing the size. The body-screen ratio is 88.7%.

Being a flagship this means OnePlus 8 ships with the processor Snapdragon 865 On board, an octa-core chipset with the following configuration: 1x 2.84 GHz Kryo 585 + 3x 2.42 GHz Kryo 585 + 4x 1.8 GHz Kryo 585. We received an Adreno 650 GPU and configurations with 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, respectively 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.0 flash storage. Unfortunately there is no trace of the microSD slot here, but a novelty is the presence of the modem for 5G connectivity.

There’s room-level news, too, but the news isn’t exactly good. OnePlus chooses to drop the telephoto sensor popping up in the OnePlus 7T’s triple setup and replacing it with a macro sensor that not everyone will appreciate. The shape of the vertically placed pill is also maintained in this terminal, and in this case we are talking about a photo configuration with the following composition:

- 16 mpx ultra wide angle, autofocus

So we have a main sensor Sony IMX586 48 mpx with OIS, PDAF and laser rangefinder. It has an ultra-wide 16 mpx sensor with autofocus and a 2 mpx macro sensor. This camera takes 4K at 30 / 60fps, but also 1080p @ 30/60 / 240fps with EIS gyro stabilization and Auto HDR technology. For selfies we rely on a 16 mpx front camera (f / 2.0, Auto-HDR, 1080p shooting at 30 fps, gyro-EIS).
Battery and others
An update on the predecessors is also seen at the battery level, so the OnePlus 8 comes with a battery pack 4300 mAh with support for Fast power deformation load 30T to 30W. We remind you that OnePlus 7 comes with a 3700 mAh battery and OnePlus 7T comes with a 3800 mAh battery. The increase is quite generous, but unfortunately there is no trace of wireless charging here, the functionality only comes in the Pro version.
