In the penultimate act of the Romanian Cup, the 2020-2021 edition, three teams from League 1, Dinamo, Astra and the University of Craiova, and one from League 2, Viitorul Pandurii Târgu Jiu, qualified.
The participating teams are distributed in a single ballot box and are grouped. The matches take place in a round trip system, with the first team drawn being the organizer of the round.
