A meeting of the National Committee for Emergency Situations took place on Tuesday evening, Raed Arafat and Nelu Tătaru announced the new restrictions to be imposed in Romania: the mandatory use of a mask in areas with an infection rate higher than 3 per thousand and the ban on weddings. , baptisms and any private event, nationwide. It is also expected to gradually reduce the activity of restaurants, cafes, theaters and cinemas, which may close in towns where the contagion rate exceeds 3 per thousand inhabitants.
The Minister of Health and Secretary of State Raed Arafat announced, at the end of the CNSU meeting, the new restrictions that will be imposed in Romania. The alert will be extended for another 30 days, starting on October 15.

- The use of a mask is mandatory in crowded areas, where the incidence (infection rate per thousand inhabitants, calculated at 14 days) is less than 3 per thousand
- In areas where the incidence exceeds 3 per thousand, the use of a mask is mandatory in all open spaces.
- Activity of theaters, theaters, cinemas, restaurants, cafes: capacity is reduced by 50% when the infection rate is less than or equal to 1.5 per thousand inhabitants
- In localities with contagion rates between 1.5 and 3 per thousand, they will operate at a capacity of 30%, and the program will be reduced until 11:00 pm.
- When the incidence exceeds 3 per thousand, the activity of these institutions will stop
- Private events (weddings, christenings, anniversaries, holiday meals) in open and closed spaces are prohibited throughout the country.
- With regard to the electoral campaign, events are allowed inside with the participation of a maximum of 20 people, and outside the number of participants is reduced to a maximum of 50 people.
All staff working in the centers for the elderly and people with disabilities will be evaluated once a week by DSP
