Dr Cătălin Denciu, who was severely burned in the fire in the ATI section of Piatra Neamț county hospital while trying to save his patients and who is currently hospitalized in Belgium, is still intubated, according to the Health Ministry.
The information sent Friday night by the Ministry of Health shows that the doctor, admitted to the Regina Astrid Military Hospital in Brussels, is intubated, in stable condition.
According to the cited source, he is under specific treatment, undergoing wound preparation procedures.
Following the fire that broke out late Saturday in the ATI Section of the Piatra Neamț County Hospital, doctor Cătălin Denciu, who tried to save patients, suffered burns in an area of 75% of the body surface. He was transferred to the Floreasca Hospital in the Capital, and on Sunday he was transferred to the Regina Astrid Military Hospital in Brussels.
In the fire, 10 COVID patients who were in serious condition lost their lives. Another six were transferred to the mobile hospital in Lețcani (Iași) and two of them died in the last three days.
