The Government’s Strategic Communication Group has published the latest assessment of the coronavirus pandemic in Romania. Thus, today we have a new negative record: 6,546 new cases of infection, 103 new deaths and 917 patients in ATI.

To date, on October 30, in Romania, 235,586 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. 167,897 patients were declared cured.

After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 6,546 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

6,546 new cases of infection – 36,589 tests

To date, 6,867 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 3 deaths were recorded in the category 40 to 49 years, 13 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 30 deaths in the category of age 60-69 years, 30 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 26 deaths in the category over 80 years.
103 new deaths and 917 patients in ATI

100 of the registered deaths were of some patients who presented comorbidities and 3 deceased patients did not present comorbidities. In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 11,236. Of these, 917 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 3,206,567 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 36,335 were performed in the last 24 hours, 22,342 based on the case definition and medical protocol, and 13,993 upon request.

We surpassed 11,000 inmates

Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 254 tests processed before the last 24 hours and delivered until October 30 have been reported.

In Romania, 28,762 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 11,253 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 53,050 people are in home quarantine and 15 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
