Nearly 4,000 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours, in 8,791 tests. 127 people died | Freedom

The Strategic Communication Group announced on Monday 3,660 new cases of people infected by coronavirus after performing 8,791 tests in the last 24 hours, of which 6,532 based on case definition and medical protocol and 2,259 on request.

Apart from recently confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 746 people were positively reconfirmed.

Romania has exceeded 517,000 cases of COVID-19 since the virus appeared in our country. In total, so far, 517,236 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19, of which 409,121 have been cured.

The highest infection rates (coefficient of cumulative infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants) are recorded in Ilfov – 7.32, Constanța – 7.21 and Bucharest – 6.34.

127 people have died in the last 24 hours

According to the balance, 79 men and 48 women, infected by COVID-19, died in the last 24 hours.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category of 20 to 29 years, 1 death in the age category of 30 to 39 years, 5 deaths in the age category of 40 to 49 years, 14 deaths in the category of age 50 to 59 years, 31 deaths in the age group 60 to 69 years, 42 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 33 deaths in the age group over 80 years.

118 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, for 6 deceased patients no comorbidities were registered and for 3 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported so far.

Since the virus appeared in Romania, 12,447 people diagnosed with COVID have died.

1,280 patients in ATI

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 12,762. Of these, 1,280 are hospitalized in ATI.

In Romania, 45,009 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 12,075 people are in institutional isolation.

Additionally, 67,627 people are in home quarantine and 126 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
