Victor Tarus has won numerous titles in national and international casting contests, artificial fly fishing and lure fishing, reports agromedia.ro.
He participated and was a promoter of the national team in the world championships of artificial fly fishing, casting, stationary fishing on sticks, fishing with natural baits in mountain waters.
Victor Tarus also wrote some books for fishermen. Delta fishing in the Carpathians, Beginning fisherman (Fishing with Uncle Virgilio), Angling in mountain waters, Kidnappers – flat waters, Overcooking appeared in numerous issues and well known to fans of this sport.
He was editor of the magazines Pescarul (since 1990), Pescar Modern (since 1993), Pescar la Crap (2007) and Prieten cu Natura (2008). He was also the star of the television shows “Fir intins!”, “Pescar istet” and “Pescat hoinar”.
For five years, he was the audience leader on TVR 2 and the radio show “NADA”. It enjoys a national audience. He was the presenter for decades of the program Pescar hoinar, on TVR 2.
