In the last 24 hours, 1,271 new cases of COVID-19 were registered, of the 24,043 tests carried out. Another 51 Romanians died due to coronavirus infections, while 459 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized for intensive care.
To date, on September 9, in Romania, 98,304 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.
41,002 patients were declared cured and 12,557 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.
Following nationwide testing, compared to the last report, 1,271 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were recorded, cases that had not previously had a positive test.
Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting the patients who were already positive, 642 people were positively reconfirmed.
To date, 4,018 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
Between 08.09.2020 (10:00) – 09.09.2020 (10:00) there were 51 deaths (32 men and 19 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița- Năsăud, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iași, Maramureș, Mureș, Olt, Prahova, Suceava, Vaslui, Ilírestfov and Bucharestfov.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 4 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 2 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 9 deaths in the age category age 60 to 69 years, 21 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 14 deaths in the category over 80 years.
49 of the registered deaths are of some patients who presented comorbidities, and for 2 deceased patients so far no comorbidities have been reported.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,137. Of these, 459 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 1,990,587 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 24,043 were performed in the last 24 hours, 15,142 based on the definition of the case and medical protocol and 8,901 on request.
Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 254 tests processed before the last 24 hours and delivered until September 9 have been reported.
In Romania, 10,215 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 6,035 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 34,412 people are in home quarantine and 11 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 997 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 658 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55 of 05.15.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 544 penalties for minor offenses, amounting to 136,200 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday a crime was found for frustrating the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to sanitary protection regulations can be notified.
The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified matters.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,599 Romanian citizens were infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,905 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 111 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 19 in Greece , 5 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Hungary and Qatar.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, have died.
Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 338 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
