In the last 24 hours, 6,752 cases of COVID-19 were reported, out of 21,552 tests. Another 86 Romanians died after being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, while 1,056 patients were hospitalized in ATI.
To date, on November 8, in Romania, 303,751 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. 204,679 patients were declared cured.
Following tests conducted at the national level, compared to the last report, 6,752 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.
The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipality and county level of Bucharest. Below is the table prepared based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
Apart from newly confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 927 people were positively reconfirmed.
To date, 7,879 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.
Between 07.11.2020 (10:00) – 08.11.2020 (10:00) 86 deaths were reported (40 men and 46 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Harghita, Iași, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Timrestiș, Suba, Ilfov.
Of these, 4 deaths were recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 3 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 5 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 25 deaths in the age category age 60 to 69 years, 32 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 17 deaths in the category over 80 years.
83 of the registered deaths were of patients who presented comorbidities and 3 deceased patients did not present comorbidities.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12,295. Of these, 1,056 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 3,476,645 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 21,552 were performed in the last 24 hours, 13,421 based on the definition of the case and medical protocol and 8,131 upon request.
In Romania, 40,629 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home and 23,788 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 71,017 people are in home quarantine and 20 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 2,956 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 8,778 penalties for minor offenses, worth 1,422,800 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 6 infractions were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified. The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,862 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,934 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 167 in the Kingdom United, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Qatar , Vatican, Portugal and Egypt.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, they have died.
Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
