22 people who participated in the violent protests in Unirii Square, in Bucharest, from Tuesday night to Wednesday, are heard, on Saturday, in the Capital Police.
Agents of the Capital Police, under the coordination of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to District Court 3, executed 24 house search warrants, in Bucharest and in Giurgiu, Prahova and Ilfov counties and several arrest warrants, in case of crimes committed overnight from March 29 to 30, in the Unirii Square area, during protests against the new restrictions, writes Mediafax.
After house searches, 22 people were identified and will be taken away for questioning.
During the searches, various samples and evidence were found and seized, including pyrotechnic materials.
The action had the support of the Directorate of Special Operations within the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, as well as the General Directorate of Gendarmerie of Bucharest and the Intervention Brigade of the Special Gendarmerie.
Investigations continue to be carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office attached to District Court 3.
