Starting in January 2021, public employees will receive various salary benefits, including a new series of vacation vouchers, which will be worth more than the previous one.
As of January, the provisions relating to holiday vouchers of Law 165/2018 come into force, which also means a substantial increase in their value.
Thus, the value of vacation vouchers should range from 1,450 lei, as it is now, to a maximum of 13,380 lei per year, since it will be calculated based on the gross minimum wage (six minimum wages).
Its validity has been expanded
The validity of the vacation vouchers granted in 2019 and 2020 was extended until December 31, 2021. The Government approved a regulatory act in this regard, at the meeting this Friday.
“The vacation vouchers granted during this period, which could not be used as a result of the measures imposed by the sanitary restrictions (…), may be used until the end of next year, until December 31, 2021, especially in the context in which the expectations are that in the first quarter of next year the effects of this pandemic will cease ”, declared this Saturday the head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, in a press release.
The value of the vouchers, increased
The food standard will increase from 2021 according to current legislation. Most likely, it will increase from 346 lei, as it is in 2020, to 372 lei / month, as established by the Framework Law 153/2017 on the remuneration of staff paid with public funds.
