To date, on October 13, in Romania, 160,461 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

120,515 patients were declared cured.

Following nationwide testing, compared to the last report, 3,109 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were recorded, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

High infection rate

The counties in which the coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, exceeds the threshold of 1.5 are the following:

Reassessed people

Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after reassessment of the patients who were already positive, 770 people were positively reconfirmed. The county distribution of these cases can be found in the following table.

To date, 5,535 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 12.10.2020 (10:00) – 13.10.2020 (10:00), 68 deaths (40 men and 28 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița- Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Maramurei, Mehedcea, Timceaifo, Sucearest y .

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age group 30 to 39 years, 3 deaths in the age group 40 to 49 years, 10 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 19 deaths in the age category age 60 to 69 years, 19 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 16 deaths in the category over 80 years.

64 of the registered deaths were of some patients who presented comorbidities, 3 deceased patients did not present comorbidities and for 1 deceased patient, no comorbidities have been reported to date.

This is a real record of deaths caused by COVID-19 in Romania. The previously announced record of 82 deaths was caused by an error by DSP Brăila, which had previously failed to report 17 deaths.

People hospitalized in ATI

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 9,399. Of these, 651 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 2,709,306 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 26,718 were performed in the last 24 hours, 16,933 based on the definition of the case and medical protocol and 9,785 upon request.

In Romania, 15,306 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 8,886 people are institutionally isolated. Additionally, 34,496 people are in home quarantine and 23 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 2,320 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 1,502 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform citizens.

Fines imposed by the authorities

As a consequence of the violation of the provisions relating to some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmerie applied, in the last 24 hours, 4,364 sanctions for minor offenses, worth 651,702 I read.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 4 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

The situation of Romanians in the diaspora

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,812 Romanian citizens were infected by COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,917 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,999 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain. , 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 122 in Austria, 21 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 7 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo and Qatar . Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
