The Minister of Public Finance, Florin Cîțu, declared, on Saturday, at a press conference, that pensions and the minimum wage will go up “in the next period”, without advancing a percentage even once, reports Mediafax.
Florin Cîțu was asked, at a press conference, if the return of the economy, of which he spoke, will also mean an increase in the minimum wage, as requested by the trade unionists, respectively with 100 gross lei.
“You know very well that I said that pensions will increase every year in the next period. We will see what the dynamics will be, but it will increase every year. Yes, economic growth is needed to increase pensions and wages and economic growth will be reflected in increased pensions and wages, ”Cîțu replied.

Regarding the increase in the minimum wage, the Minister of Finance said that he would like to maintain a formula that he launched last year, that of not penalizing the dynamics of the minimum wage in years with budget contraction or a declining economy.
Asked if pensions will increase by 26% next year, Cîțu replied that pensions will increase, but does not have a percentage to advance.
“I don’t have a percentage that I can advance, but I can tell you that the pensions will increase every year in the next period,” Minister Florin Cîțu also said.
