Likewise, Mihail Vlasov must pay 6,086,741 lei for material damages to the civil party Romexpo SA, in solidarity with the other defendants.
According to DNA, “in the period 2008-2014, the accused Vlasov Mihail, as president of the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – CCIR, abusing his position and the influence acquired in this capacity, took measures to obtain personal material benefits and for the people around him, to the detriment of the institution he represents. Thus, he caused serious damage to both the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and SC Romexpo SA, of which CCIR is the majority shareholder “.
According to the prosecutors, the total damage caused to the CCIR budget is estimated at 54,342,145.20 lei and the total damage caused to the budget of SC Romexpo SA at 6,086,741.44 lei.
The former president of the Romanian Chamber of Commerce, Mikhail Vlasov, already has two sentences: one for five years and the second for two years in prison. After the merger of the two sentences, the judges of the Court of Appeal of Iasi decided that Vlasov should serve five years and eight months in prison.
He was convicted for the first time, in June 2015, by the Superior Court of Cassation and Justice in an influence peddling case, after being caught red-handed while receiving 200,000 euros from a businessman whose promise in exchange that he would use his influence to persuade to the arbitrators of the Court of International Commercial Arbitration to rule in his favor.

In November 2017, he was released on parole, after serving less than two years in prison.
